The OKKO Space Academy app makes it possible for patients to have their eye health checked between in-person clinic visits, in the comfort of their home using a simple and accessible video game based approach. Designed in conjunction with eye specialists, the OKKO Health system allows tracking of patient progress and the ability for remote eye care.
While OKKO Space Academy app measures traditional visual acuity (in near LogMAR), it also measures contrast sensitivity - a measure of vision that is scientifically considered a better identifier of early problems in sight.
The OKKO Space Academy app can be prescribed by professionals and is intended for home-monitoring of children’s vision (3+) or adult’s central vision between regular in-person clinic visits with a specialist. It can also be used on a single-use basis to assist with urgent tele-ophthalmology consultations.
This app is not intended to diagnose eye problems. If you have a new concern about your eye health, please speak with an eye care professional.
Note that the app requires registration on the OKKO service user website, and the professional will log into this website to review test results of their patients.
